99th NHTOA Annual Meeting

On May 15, 2010 NHTOA will present the Annual Meeting at the Currier Museum of Art, in Manchester, NH. Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend the 2010 meeting. In addition to the usual tours, lectures, speeches, and raffle. We will kick off NHTOA’s 100th anniversary at this meeting. The featured tours and lectures for this year include an off-site tour of Manchester Water Works, a forestry tour of the 8,000 acres of forestland managed by the Manchester Water Works, and guided tours of the Currier Museum of Art. A forest history presentation will be given throughout the morning byPlymouth State University - Center for Rural Partnerships. The presentation will be held in the Currier Lecture Hall. This multi-media presentation was developed specifically for the NHTOA Annual Meeting. It draws from numerous northern New Hampshire forestry, mill and logging archival collections.
Water Work tours start at 8 a.m. and will be repeated at 10 a.m. Guided museum tours will be throughout the morning. The Plymouth State University presentation will start at 8 a.m. and will repeat every hour until 11 a.m. A catered lunch will follow the tours and lectures. (This year there will be two separate seatings for lunch to accommodate all members.)
