Proper harvesting can provide income, improve wildlife habitat, and results in trails, better access, views, and healthy and vigorous forests. Learn the steps to ensure successful stewardship planning and optimum timber sale results. Topics include: components of forest management plans, goals and objectives, role of foresters and loggers, how trees, sawlogs, and other forest products are measured and sold, timber sale contracts, laws, economics, and taxes.
