Course Description:
If you’ve noticed or heard about the oak defoliation after the late spring frost this year and/or spongy moth defoliation in the last one or two years and wondered what the effects are on forest health and the future of the oak trees affected, then this workshop is for you! Join industry specialists for the low down on recent events, insect pests, diseases, and the effects on oak and overall forest health and management.
This event will be an outdoor walking tour on an early “Oaktober” evening. Please come prepared for the weather, rain or shine.

From the north:
Get on I-93 S/US-4 E
Take I-393 E to Exit 2 NH-132 N/East Side Dr. Turn right onto NH-132 N/East Side Dr.
Turn right onto Broken Ground Dr. Turn right onto Portsmouth St.
There is a parking area on the left.
From the parking area at Portsmouth St., drive east on the paved dead-end road parallel to the highway. Look for NHTOA signs. The gate will be open. Continue up to the old log landing on your left.
From the south:
Take I-93 N to Exit 15 E. This puts you on I-393 East. Take Exit 2 off of I-393. Turn right onto NH-132 N/East Side Drive. Turn right onto Broken Ground Dr. Turn right onto Portsmouth St.
