NHTOA was proud to be represented during Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander’s recent visit to the Bartlett Experimental Forest, where she learned about the valuable research, education, and industry partnerships that support New Hampshire’s forest products sector.

The visit highlighted the important work being conducted at the Bartlett Experimental Forest and the role it plays in advancing sustainable forestry practices. University of New Hampshire Forestry Professor Mark Ducey shared insights into ongoing research efforts and the collaborative relationships that help connect science, education, and the forest industry.

Representing NHTOA was member Jake Bronnenberg, Chairman of the New Hampshire Timber Harvesting Council, a UNH Thompson School graduate, and a logging contractor from Loudon. He joined forestry leaders and educators in discussing the importance of maintaining a strong, sustainable forest products industry in New Hampshire.

Also participating were Wendy Weisinger of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and Chair of New Hampshire Project Learning Tree, and Steve Roberge of UNH Cooperative Extension and the New Hampshire Project Learning Tree Board.

NHTOA is committed to supporting the partnerships, education programs, and research initiatives that strengthen our industry and ensure the long-term health and productivity of New Hampshire’s working forests. We appreciate the opportunity to share the vital role forestry professionals play in managing our state’s forest resources and supporting local communities.
